Welcome to the website of Kevin Moore

I’m an experienced (30yr+) software developer blending practice and theory to solve tricky development issues. Defacto ‘retired’ but still coding and experimenting with new technologies.

I’ve enjoyed studying at the Open University, with an MSc in Software Development providing an academic underpinning to experience. I was part-way through a PhD, but had to dropout due to time pressures. The process of study afforded a great insight into software development and research, maybe one day I’ll manage to restart it…

Beyond making an intermittent living in IT, interests include technology, science (with a Physics + Chemistry degree), cycling for exercise and holidays, occasional computer games and most things arty. You can see my current projects and goals in the ‘currently’ tab.

The website allows me to get some experience with a technology called Jekyll, and to keep a lightweight blog of events and happenings. While I could do more with it, frankly there’s little point. It’s enough to allow posting for now and I’ve other stuff to get on with. Besides I’m of the content-over-form, less-is-more philosophy.
