Having got back into regular cycling, I’d thought about tackling this trip for a while, but as the year passed it became a case of just book a ticket to force the issue! Travelling in September meant that the B&Bs weren’t booked up, but the weather did turn a little rough.

This was a first go at doing this kind of cycle touring, so tried to be realistic and not too ambitious (which turned out to be a sensible approach). Lots of practical lessons learnt.
