Dr. Richard Kimble (Ford) is unjustly convicted of killing his wife, and after the prison bus helpfully crashes and a dramatic pileup with a train, Kimble escapes and must use the limited clues to find his wife’s real killer.

Hot on his tail is determined Marshal Sam Gerard (Jones) who despite his best indifference begins to suspect that Kimble may be innocent. Fast paced with some taught moments this is a solid fugitive hunt movie, but with the twist of Kimble having to return to his past medical life to find the truth of his wife’s death.

Both Ford and Jones put in excellent performances but its Jones who steals it with his unhesitating, professional Marshal.
