In June 2005 my friend SueA and I cycled the (infamous?) coast to coast. Approximately 225km (~140 miles) from the Irish sea at Workington, across the Pennines and down to the North sea at Newcastle. The distance isn’t too difficult in 4 days but its all uphill!
