The view from the rear of my house has never been spectacular. In fact its a large factory wall, and a semi-deserted factory at that. There are some advantages such as no one wandering around the alleyways behind the houses, but it did rather block the light.
But with the final closure of the factory the land was earmarked for a new housing estate and so the demolition began. For some strange reason the garden feels and looks a lot smaller. And is covered in pale brown brickdust. Oh well, it will keep the weeds down. I was really hoping for a nice view, say a beach or perhaps herds of wildebeast migrating across the Serengeti , but no. Obviously in these cash strapped times the developers went for the bog-standard building site view. Very disappointing indeed.
