The Strange Case of the Law

Boring and dull. That’s Law isn’t it? Well not in this series which explores how English law developed over the centuries.

Barrister Harry Potter (yes really) describes historical events such as 1215 Magna Carta outlining their cultural and legal importance with such a clear enthusiasm it’s hard not to agree with his sentiment of the law being England’s greatest gift to the world. It’s also very refreshing to have a presenter who presents the facts, explains their significance and then moves on in a timely fashion. Far too many programs seem to treat you as a bit thick, rehashing the same point repeatedly (usually with flashy graphics).

An interesting series that really helps connect history to today.
